Selecting a scope

Selecting a scope allows you to specify the vault objects and functions that you want to work with in the current Meridian Enterprise session. If any scopes are defined in a vault, you must select one when opening the vault for the first time. Thereafter, you may select a different scope that more closely meets your needs. If only one scope is defined for a vault, is it selected automatically. You may select only a scope for which you have the Can Use privilege for the scope .

  1. Click the current scope name button in the Context bar. A shortcut menu of scope names appears. Scopes for which you do not have the scope’s Can Use privilege are cleared.
  2. Select a scope name. The vault objects and commands that are not available for the selected scope disappear. The vault objects and commands that have been configured for the selected scope appear.
